Congress & Sports: Where's the outrage?
So, it's all over the news with congress interrogating Roger Clemens and his personal trainer about steroid use (again! Didn't we go through this with Conseco a few years ago?)
Now, Arlen Spectre is all over the news about the Patriots spygate tapes.
Um... is it me or are we paying these clowns in Congress millions of dollars to dabble in sports franchises? What's next, the WWE? As Bill Clinton said of the baseball hearings, "None of that is going to feed the poor or give anyone health care."
Some one needs to tell these clowns their job is to run the nation, not the entertainment industry.

I did not see your question, otherwise I would not have asked mine. I asked basically the same thing.
It is so frustrating. Then again, the current crop of politicians seem to be so inept, maybe it is best they do not actually try to fix any of the real problems. They would probably only make it worse.
I am normally an optimist. I am so fed up with our so called leaders (both parties) screwing up everything they touch that I am quickly becoming a pessimist.

Too many power and money hungry people there. Most of which grew up in political backgrounds and never tasted their own blood, sweat, and tears so they don't care that we shed ours to barely pay bills. You can't run if you don't have an education, yet you can't have that without money. Only a selected few have lived their dreams and got lots of money and even fewer keep it. Even running for Pres. or Congress you need money. How the heck is anything good going to come out of that? And the options are like so limited. There is no all around good for everyone. Either you get stabbed in the head or the chest, either way its going to hurt. You have no other option. If you can't decide for yourself, then Congress says, you get stabbed in your head and chest. In my eyes, thats what it looks like. But what are you gonna do? Move somewhere else? There is no winning here or best answer, its given you'll lose your choice is how fast that'll be.
Sorry. Just venting, I'm okay now.

Why should this surprise you? It's just Congress flexing their "We are the ultimate judges of everything and know what's best for you" muscles. With the war, economy, trade, immigration, taxes, etc; these blowhards are wasting their time and our money on this crap. God save us from these self righteous stuffed shirts and skirts.
