Would you divorce?

Would you leave your spouse if you are unhappy in the relationship (due to the spouse relying too much on you, money issues and putting their family first) even if you love them and how long or how hard would you try to keep a marriage? When do you know its time to give up?

Marriage is really hard to work at. No one said it was going to be easy. And if they told you that than they were definitely lieing to you. Anyway, I do not think that you should give up on your marriage for the reasons you stated above. If your spouse was cheating or did something that was hard to forgive than yes, a divorce might be likely. But it seems that these issues you might be able to work out. Sit down and tell your spouse how you feel. You married he/she and you should come first now. Even though sometimes it is hard to put your spouse first because we all grow up knowing that we need to put our families first. But your spouse is now apart of your family. And most importantly you shouldn't have to choose. Talk about it, you might see results. Communication is a big key in marriage.

If you weren't at the end of your rope, you wouldnt be asking this question...You seek validation that you have done all you can, and how much is too much...You know it's time to give up, when you give up.Tell him what you feel, If you don't, he will never have the chance to give you what you need.Communication, and compromise is what you are going to need..It won't happen in a day..Let me ask you something..If he makes all the changes you need to make the marriage work, would you still want to be with him...and if he don't, do you still want to be with him?It looks like the answer is if he cannot make some changes, you are unhappy enough to want out..So give him the chance. If you have already done that and he has not done enough, then you have your answer.Be sure that you have given him the time, and the warning. If he Loves you he will do what is needed, Be sure to listen to his side, and what he wants and needs from you as well.It may be that you don't understand what is going on with him.Try counseling if nothing else.Marriiage is hard work..Divorce is harder....

well if you are unhappy and not in love with them you will know when it is time, people forget get that loving someone and being in love with someone is different feelings, you can love someone and being verbal beat down doesn't mean you are in love with them, sounds like you need to talk to them about helping out around the house and money, try that first before anything is in stone, you will know when it is time

Your issues seem to me like ones that can be worked through. If you love this person, then you owe it to them (and yourself) to give it your all. As far as relying on you too much, I would think it would make you preoud that you could take care of them, and after all, "whats mine is yours", right?

You give up when you've exhausted all other possibilities. Have you spoken honestly to each other, have you seen a counsellor? Don't just give up because it gets difficult - love is hard work but that's what makes it so rewarding.

Time differs from one to another's endurance. but we know when we are fed up and can't give any more. Try to talk before any decision, it's not an easy matter. if u couldn't settle it so ,,,,,

If you love them... why would you leave them??

I believe those things can be fix.

Many couples get divorced because of financial problems... i think that's dumb.
