What is going on in Las Vegas March 10 to 13...all hotels expensive or sold out?

I'd go with planet hollywood. Been to vegas 7 or 8 times. It's on the strip, it's a bit more expensive compared to the others, but its WAY cleaner and it's real nice with good food and such. Also right outside of las vegas in henderson theres a hotel called greenvalley ranch and it's a really nice hotel with a sweet pool, arcade, movie theatre and it's own shopping strip outside. It's not exactly the party hotel.. but it's nice.

Actually there are several conventions including Showest (big entertainment industry confab), IBM, a car wash operator group, etc. all of which have 6-10,000 each along with numerous others going on. There's also a 52,000 person convention wrapping on 3/9 and there's undoubtedly some folks staying over a day or two for vacation after.

The web site for the ConExpo convention says something like 125,000 people will be attending. (March 11-15) The hotels can pretty much charge what they want since most of it will be put on peoples expense accounts. It does screw everybody else who's going to Vegas too.
