Progress Chennai(India)MRTS -- residents in Puzhithivakkam worried on where Rly.Stn will be located.?

can any one help if they know information --

There are many settlers constructed houses at Puzhuthivakkam with approved Lay-out/plan approval, etc.,

Construction Area for Railway Station require large area.

residents are worried about the exact locations of the Railway Station - to get satisfied that they are not displaced.

my feeling is that Railways plan will be such that the displacement of residents will not be there -- many disagree

Update:

on enquiry it is understood that Puzhuthivakkam station starts at 1500 M (1,5KM) middle point 1650 m (1.650KM) and ends at 1800M (1.8KM) - the mute question is how much are is required for platform (length 300M fixed) but width for the purpose of Stair case, elevator, escalator, lift, parking area, dispersal area (for public use) and approach road to Railway station. will it be 150 ft or 150M (500 ft.) -- people resides around the planned Rly Station are worried lot.

can any one contact concerned officials at MRTS, Highways, CMDA and through some light.

Update 2:

Media personnel can help us as this is on public interest

Update 3:

the information collected from various souces indicate - by all probability -- from Vellachery Rly. Stn -- next (Puzhuthivakkam)

Middle of Rly Station -- 1650 Metres

Begining of Rly Stn - 1500 Metres

End of Rly. Stn - 1800 Metres

Length of Station 280 to 300 metres

width of Rly. Station 50M + 50M (100 Metres) either side - each side will have extension of 50 Metres from Rly. Line.

Inner ring road width - 20 Metres + 20 Metres either side.

Rly line 10 Metres.

approach road (at either end of station will be about 7.5 Metres.

these are thumb rules applied for other MRTS Projects - it may vary - station to station.

Location of station may also vary based on soil condition and other conveient factors based on several other factors.

final outcome - one can reasonably expect in another 3 to 6 months when MRTS; CMDA, & Highways finalise the final plan.

--------------

the above are only indications with approximate value - may not be give correct position.
