Favorite Super Bowl Champion without a markey QB?

History shows that your percentage of winning the SB goes up with an A-List QB...but I want to know your favorite SB winners without a markey quarterback. Perhaps they had a killer defense and a manager at the helm, or maybe it was a down year in the league...but they took the title regardless.

For me, it's the 85' Bears (yes, they had Jim but he was more flash than anything...in fact Mike Tomzack had the same or better numbers the filling in for him). A close second would be the 00' Ravens...I guess I love defense. Thoughts?

Update:

marquee...my apology

Yeah, the Doug Williams Redskins game was impressive...over 600 yards of offense.

After the Broncos scored the first 10 points of the game, the Redskins ran off 42 straight.

John Elway was "hoooorible" in that game, but that wasn't unusual for him in the Super Bowl, as he lost 3 of them.

The Redskins led 35-10 in the 4th quarter when they scored again...but hey, Joe Gibbs never ran up the score on anybody, right?

Do you wanna recognize how the previous 4 communities gained the Superbowl. by technique of playing solid solid protection. and also you recognize what they're putting forward protection wins ya championships. What I see in Eagles 09-10 season is they're sturdy on offense, yet with the absence of JJ(RIP) and your soul of the D in Brian Dawkins and perchance your 2d mind-blowing defensive participant in Shawn Andrews lengthy gone for season I heavenly doubt that Eagles were given a probability, believe it or no longer i love the Cowboys and Redskins possibilities extra powerful than Eagles because those communities extremely upgraded their D to lets say end Brian Westbrook and Desean Jackson. note i'm no longer including Maclin in this because I doubt any rookie wide receivers will produce this season ok.

not one my fav's by a long shot, but when asking this type of question you have to list Terry Bradshaw. Even Bradshaw would agree to that.

Most teams that get to the Super Bowl it is the team that does it, not one or two players. If Tom Brady was playing for the Dolphins instead of the Pats, he would not be know as a great QB.

XXV - Jeff Hostetler, New York Giants

XXVI - Mark Rypien, Washington Redskins

Put this back-to-back, lack of solid QB's, but Super Bowl champions, in a dead-heat.

2000 Baltimore Ravens. Their defense was so dominant that they won a Superbowl with Trent Dilfer as their QB.

Doug Williams with the Redskins. Forget the racial first black QB and all that. He played a great game, was under rated for that match up and won.

lol @ markey, thanks for the laugh :)

anyway, u pretty much covered it, those are the two that come to everyone's mind... almost all other teams that won it had a guy that had a good year that year... a lot of flashes in the pan, but most had had excellent seasons the year of winning the bowl...

If you mean marquee, then it could be a bunch. The reputation of a QB is created by the media. Every QB in pro football has decent credentials or they wouldn't be there.
