Has anyone had hack attempts after downloading Trillian?

I've had Trillian on my work computer for a while with no problems. I just downloaded it at home and I notice all these attempted hack alerts. Is it related to Trillian or just a coincidence that I started getting them after I downloaded it? My employer requires us to use it but I can uninstall it from my home computer if its going to be a problem. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

I have been using Trillian for three years with no problems. Where are you getting these hack alerts to be exact (in other words, which software is telling you these things?).

Make sure you kept your trillian up to date. Also please refer to this link here for preventing attacks, malware, and other threats:

    Hi,

While I don't use it myself there seems to be at least 2 schools of thought on Trillian, try an internet search as there is a lot of for and against out there.

When you use any message service there are going to be back doors and violations with any service, I don't suppose Trillian is worse than any other service in that respect.

Make sure your version of Trillian is fully patched if necessary and your firewall and anti-virus and ad ware is fully up to date.

Make a restore point and fully back up your computer in case anything gets through.

If you have a news feed then set it to keep any eye out for news of Trillian.
