Hi,

Just a quick question.

I have an AMD Radeon R9 290 with 2 mini display ports on Windows 7 and a separate sound card.

Connected to the 290 are one 1 monitor one HDMI and 1 on DVI , what I would like to do is to connect a TV via an active HDMI adapter to my TV.

Is it possible to get sound through the display port using that type of connection without connecting to the sound card with another cable please?

I have this command to copy a file across a network :-

It come back with a parse error, what could be wrong please?

I am confused with this issue of the UK Government changing the contracts of employment of Public Sector employees?

Is it legal for them to do so without the consent of the employees?

If it is then surely the contracts are not worth the paper they are written on?

I have a Hygena Dishwasher, sorry I don't know the appliance model number as it isn't showing anywhere.8-((

It is at least 12 years old, inherited with the house.

It will drain fine but will not bring any water in on the wash cycle.

I have checked the supply hose and water is getting that far.

Any ideas what could cause this problem.

When using Firefox 8 and selecting a link from for example the lower half of the page then using the back button on the mouse, Firefox always takes me back to the top of the page.

Is there anyway of stooping it doing that?

Hi,

I have a circuit that requires a pot to drop 1 volt, from 3 to 2 volts.

The current is 180ma so I believe the pot's value would be about 5.55 ohms so the nearest I assume will be 10 ohms.

But what is the wattage of the pot I require and how do I calculate it?

Is it watts = volts x amps, so that would be w = 1 x .18 = .18 watts?

Hi,

I have an Easyo yogurt maker, the first batch that I made was fine but the following 4 batches did not set at all!

I have followed the instructions very carefully but cannot get it to work again.

The mix is well within the use by date.

Has anyone got any advice or insights into why the yogurt won't set please?
