How should i wall mount my 52" lcd tv?

i have a 52" lcd tv. i want to wall mount it along with 3 wall mounted speakers part of a 5.1 system. how high should i mount the tv? i experimented with a paper cutout but i still cant make up my mind. My eye level when sitting at a distance of about 16 feet is 37 inches off the floor. 25" looks too low to me so i think it should be higher. Also, should i get a component cable for the wii or is its composite one fine? i saw that the wii's hd output is 480p and the standard is 480i. Should i run cables for all my outputs or just a few and then buy an hdmi a/v receiver (good one costs $200 or more)? What should i do to make the holes for routing the cables (its on an outside wall). And how difficult is the whole process of mounting and routing wires to a cabinet driectly underneath (i also need to reroute some existing wiring)?

The tv should be mounted somewhere between 0-15degrees of your eye level when viewing. (I've got your same situation 52" how high etc.) The wii composite is okay, but I do like the component a little better (little smoother on my bravia 52", to me it was worth the 15bucks) Run all wires, maybe even extras, add some string to your run to act as a pull should you decide to run even more cables. if you're considering an a/v receiver 200 is low, think in the 4-600 range for superior performance (more watts! ; ) I used a drywall saw and electricians fish tape to route my cables, then I used some metal pieces which aren't for electrical (ac power that is) but use a standard wall plate cover so my holes look like outlets (one is behind the tv, the other near an actual outlet so the tv power can plug into my computer grade surge protection then into the wall highly advised!) As long as you avoid cutting the wires in the wall you can run your cables down the wall with the electrical.

I hope I've helped, having been there and done that myself.

MAYBE you should rent a HOME THEATER CONSULTANT....

You really haven't completed the process of design yet....

Too many questions and not one commitment to implementation...

You should have the BOTTOM of your TV at 37 inches...not 25 inches....

And you should USE Wii 's 480p output jacks....until you go 720 or 1080...

It's smarter to run your video signals all to your TV set and run the audio to your reciever....

Now.....IF YOU HAVE an HDMI amp....multiple HDMI INPUTS....it certainly seems smarter to run ONE lousy HDMI cable UP to your TV set and forgo all that cabling.....

And then your AMP takes a dump.....

And you have NO picture, NO sound........No nothing....

So set it up LIKE you have no amp, and set up your amp to take care of the Tos-Link Digital Coax and Digital Optical cables from your DVD and Cable boxes......

That's the reason you buy a Dolby Surround Amp......

And here....here's some good cables to work with, and good prices....
