if you have your gall bladder removed... does your pancreas take over filtering for it?

my sister-in-law had her gall bladder out quite a few years ago.

now she has chronic pancreatis . she said they can't take her pancreas out because she doesn't have a gall bladder.

I know that you can live without a pancreas.

My lady; hi, the gall bladder is like a small purse where the secretions of liver get concentrated to be delivered to the small intestine and to be used in digestive process, it has nothing to do with pancreas and its secretions etc., gall bladder can get problems due to lots of reasons but mostly due to stone formation and blockage of the ducts. A gall ston slipping down close to the pancreatic duct and or a stone in the pancreatic duct as such and besides there are several other reasons for pancreatitis can result in pancreatitis.

The best is to follow with your doctors very closely and follow the advise
