Is "In Cold Blood" by Truman Capote any good?

This book was the first of its kind, which is in the 'true crime novel' genre.

Capote got a bit of flack for it at first as I recall, but that man knew exactly how to give flack back, times-squared, so I guess he did alright --at least for a while.

As far as I know, Capote is known for nothing but this one book, which must have been galling if much time passed between it and Capote's death.

I read it soon after it came out, and though I felt a certain amount of shock [this happens in rural America?] I also couldn't put the book down. It was well-written.

Yes it is very good. I wasn't to interested in seeing the movie until I caught it on HBO one night. Im glad I watched it.
