Front Driver and Passenger Side Floorboards Soaking wet in 2003 Suburban?

Water seems to be pooling and soaking the drivers side mostly but some moisture can be felt on the passenger side after heavy rains. Trying to locate the leak but am not having any luck. Doesn't seem to be coming through the door as all the water and moisture is on the floorboards. Carpet is soaked along with padding. The smell is aweful. Please Help

Update:

No smell of antifreeze and really dont think it would be the heater core. Could it have anything to do with a clogged vent? don't think my windshield is leaking but will try the next warm day with a hose to see if that is the case.

Since you said driver's side, you may have a leaking windshield. If the leak was more on the passenger side, I would suggest a bad heater core. If you are losing coolant, then have the heater core checked.

Have the heater core examined. Could be leaking. Does it smell like antifreeze?

Agreed, verify the heater middle. If no longer is do you have a sunroof? In some autos, the sunlight roof drainage hose would get broken or clogged ensuing in water leakage into the cabin. attempt to save on with the source of the water, verify larger aspects at the back of the carpet see in case you will locate any damp aspects. yet probability is that if there is distinctive water it somewhat is the heater middle.
