How will you feel if super delegates give the nomination to Hillary if Obama gets the most pledged delegates?

I had been worried about that...until tonight. Tonight I think is the final nail in Hillary's coffin. I suppose there's still a small chance but it's receded substantially. If it did somehow happen, I would hope Obama would split off the Dem Party and establish a 3rd Party and I bet the vast majority would eagerly follow. If no 3rd Party, I'd have to vote McCain. But if that were to happen, our country will become even more deeply divided than it already is...and if we think America is cynical and angry now, I don't even want to think about what would happen if Hillary steals the vote. It would be veeeryyy ugly? Obama's The Man!

Oh please God, let it happen while I am still alive!!!!

It wouldn't make sense for the super delegates to ignore the wishes of the rank and file of their party and nominate a candidate who has a much lesser chance of winning a general election. This would be lunacy. It would split the democratic party and make them politically impotent for decades. It would further insure a Republic in the white house for at least the next 8 years. This would be the stupidest thing imaginable for them to do.

But,since perception is more important than substance to the Democratic party, I predict this is exactly what they will do. It is better in their minds that a woman lose than a man win.

I will hope that someone finds a way to restore peoples' faith in the process. I will hope that those who are tempted to sit out the election will look at third party candidates instead. If former congresswoman and third party candidate Cynthia McKinney gets a large enough percentage of Obama supporters to vote for her to cause Clinton to lose the general election, that might teach the Democrats a lesson in democracy.

Most super delegates realize the massive influx of young voters would become disenchanted with politics and cynical about it if they were to do something like that. Therefore, that shouldn't happen.

But if it DOES happen, I am leaving the democratic party and registering as an Independent immediately.

I am not voting democratic because of the super delegates. I am voting for Ron Paul. He is a great alternative.

Since the DNC established the "super delegates", I think it would be hilarious. I cannot wait for the blood letting and the fireworks to begin.

The libs would have yet another election result that they can complain about. It's starting to sound like a broken record.

It would prove that the dems don't want to work w/ the GOP, to fix things.
