I had an 2001 Civic LX and i was thinking of getting catback for my car. so i was wondering how much the catback would cost and how much it'll cost for installation? is there anything else i'll need to get to require the catback to be working..ex: like do i need a header?

You dont need a header i will work fine. My catback on my nissan was about 150$ although i think it mighta been a little high. There probobly gonna charge you atleast 100$ labor, i dont really know what the going rate is cause i work on everything myself. If ure the least bit mechanically inclined go out and buy a haynes repair manual for maybe 20$, take a look at the section on replacing your exhaust and consider if its something you can handle (if you have any experience working on cars at all this is one of the most simple things to do). If your gonna upgrade your civic its much more satisfying knowing you do the work yourself

Catbacks vary in cost depending on what you like, but generally they won't be too spendy for your car. I'd make sure to do an Intake system at the same time to see any real power gain. Headers also aren't a bad idea but for the money you'd spend on all three you be halfway saved for swapping in a better engine. Anyways, install should cost nothing...because exhausts are EASY to install. Jack up the car....follow the directions.....easy as that. I'll give you a link to a selection of exhausts and you can see the prices for yourself. Good luck!

For whatever you are charged you can buy some ramps,Jack and jack stands and do it your self. Then you have some nice equipment to do your own future projects too.
