Colours on TV?

My TV's broken - the 'red' colours show as black and obviously all other colours are then distorted. Can this be repaired or is it easier to get a new one?

    Hi,

    I cannot really answer since you did not tell us what kind of tv you have. If it is CRT, then your red picture gun is not functioning. If it is LCD, then your RED LCD chip is not functioning. If it is plasma, it could me many things gone wrong. I hope you have waranty. If you are under waranty and if it cannot be repaired, I think you are getting a new one for no cost. Thats the deal they gave me when I bought my CRT rear projection tv.

    What type of TV is it? CRT LCD plasma?
