Different Type Of In-Law Question?
All the In-Law questions I see here are:
My In-Laws are driving me crazy, what do I do?
I can't stand my In-Laws, any advice?
My In-Laws hate me?
My question is is there any good In-Law storied out there?
I love my In-Laws undoubly. Quite factually I get along better with them then my own family. I was accepted immediately and lastingly. I'm talking about the entire In-Law family, 3 Sister-In- Laws, Mother-In-Law and Father-In-Law, 3 nieces and a nephew.
Just general fyi: I was friends with my husbands sister for quite a few years before I even met her brother. I didn't interact with the family then though.
Again, My question is is there any good In-Law storied out there? Do you get along? Have you always?
Of course it counts I am interested in hearing all aspects of In-Law relationships.
I also need to add that not only was I accepted my daughter from a previous marriage was accepted as warmly as I, she was only a year and a half, when we started dating

Yes I get along with them all-2 sister in laws, 4 brother in laws and the mother and father in-laws and the GRANDMA, lol...they are a great bunch and i've been there "daughter" for way longer then we've even been married. We were together for 10 years before we tied the knot...when I had a miscarriage it was my MIL that got me out of my slump and had alot of words of encourage...I love her so much and all the rest of the family...I'm glad they came into my life.

I love my daughters-in-law. Does that count?
We get on well.
Edit: Okay - I love my sons too much to do anything to cause them distress, which is one of the reasons I make sure I treat their wives with affection.
But it's more than that - I like them. I'm very easy going, it must be said, and so are they.
I tell my sons, who whinge every now and again, jokingly that they owe me their lives, their wives owe me nothing. Which is why I can afford to tease my sons, or tell them off, as the case may be. But I treat my dil with more respect.

Nope sorry mine are crazy fanatical Baptists who disowned their own daughter because she was gay. Now my husband is dead from the alcoholism they always denied he had and all they have is their "church" crap. Even our son can't stand them and only goes to visit them out of a feeling of obligation because after a couple of days with them he feels like HE needs a few stiff drinks too.

yep, I love my parents-in-law just as much as my own parents, and call them mom and dad too. They've told my hubby they loved me before they even met me, just from hearing him talk about me, and when we did meet we hit it off from day one. We spent a couple of weeks at their place last year and I had a great time. I'm already excited to have them spend next week with us

I have great in-laws! My inlaws have a no butting into marriage rule, and they abide by it. They wont even give advice unless you ask for it. But they let us know that they care. I like that policy.

i get along great with my in-laws. i love them just like my own parents. they are very supportive and know when to butt out. No we don't always see eye to eye but, each person has there on values and opinions. i don't think my mother-in-law has always liked me strickly because i took her baby boy. but now i think she sees i can take pretty good care him and her grand children!
