Has anyone heard if ephedra can cause depression? I know it can cause anxiety...?
Curious if ephedra just acts as a temporary stimulant or can it wreak havoc on your chemical balance causing possible depression...

Yes. Many side effects, including anxiety & depression!. Ephedra was pulled from the shelves as an Over the Counter drug (typically found in diet pills) because it was shown TO cause all sorts of psychiatric problems as well as withdraw problems. Several warnings were issued in late 2003. Some deaths were even associated with its usage. Hope this helps with your question. Dr Steve

No matter what product you ingest into your body, it can cause havoc on your mental and physical parts of your body. You really should not use this stuff it is extremely hard on your heart.
