What is this piece of skin called in the mouth?

What is the term for the tiny piece of skin that attaches the inside of your upper lip to your gums?

It's called the upper labial frenum. You also have one on the inside of your lower lip that attached to your gums (lower labial frenum) and one that's located under your tongue that attaches it to the floor of your mouth (lingual frenum).

Frenulum or frenum. They contain muscles fibers in them for facial expression, or in the case of the one connecting your tongue to the floor of your mouth, pulling the tongue out (genioglossus muscle).
