List the three(3) most BEAUTIFUL things you have ever seen: human, natural scene, structure, painting?

List three(3 only, please) of the most beautiful things you have ever seen in your life.

Examples: another human being, a work of art, a building(cathedral, etc.), natrual scene(the Grand Canyon), an animal, a tree, a sunset, whatever.

If it(they) occurred only in one instance, relate it if you will. If it(they) happened more than once, describe the circumstances.

Alberich

Update:

What a wonderful, very moving, spiritual journey this has been.

Many thanks for all your responses. To choose a Best, seems somehow unfitting, ill-motivated: but to leave it up to public voting, would be shirking my responsibility. Don't you think?

I'm not a supporter of our two overseas wars. But I do honor those who have lost their lifes, or sufferred from these conflicts.

So, since there were too many really best(?), I'm going to opt for the easy way out.

I sincerely hope that others who really opened up their hearts to us, will not take offense at my choice, and appreciate my dilemma. Many thanks again to you all, for sharing with us.

    1) The Grand Canyon

    2) My 4yo Niece

    3) Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony....I know you can't see it because its music, but you can convert the music to imagery in your head.....it is in my opinion the most beautiful symphony ever written! I think that if that symphony sprang into the real world as a real place, it would be the 8th Wonder of the World.......

Another note on this symphony......when I was driving a semi truck, I was driving through the Ohio Valley just at Sunrise, listening to the Pastoral, 1st movement, when all of a sudden, a huge flock of blackbirds flew up over a hill and over the road, all morphing and degrouping, then regrouping aimlessly into the morning sky, there must have been at leats 300 birds! Was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen, in tandem with listening to the symphony, it was like the symphony had just sprang into life before me!

I think God was trying to tell me "Good morning, Brandon!"

1 - The Parthenon: located in Greece. Unfortunately, it was under construction, therefore, I wasn't allowed to go inside and take a tour. I took as many pictures as I could and cannot wait to go back to actually step foot in it. It is such a beautiful country with so much to offer.

2 - Niagara Falls: located in Ontario (or New York, depending on where one stands). On the right day, you can see numerous rainbows that just caress the falls...it's very beautiful. Did you know that 6 million cubic feet of water fall over the "hill" every minute? Fascinating!

3 - Greece: located in, you guessed it, Greece. Greece is such a beautiful country with so much history behind it. The hundreds of islands offer so much (especially to eager tourists). Mykonos, Delphi, Zakynthos and Hyrda are just a few of the beautiful islands. I love Greece.

    1) One evening as I was hanging out with my boyfriend down by the canal, the sun cast the most magnificant colors over the sky.. which was tangled up by a stream of clouds. The sheer beauty of all of the colors streaming together to look so peaceful and elegant was completely amazing.

    2) When my nephew was born.. seeing him laying there in the little bed at the hospital..he was so at peace bundled up in his blanket..How it makes you think of how things always just kind of place themselves together and how remarkable a human life really is.

3)My boyfriend. I'm not saying this just on his looks alone. Of course his looks alone are incrediable. I'm not just going purely on level of ''hotness''..but all of his features that make you understand that he's spanish.. how beautiful his eyes are, and how they pierce me EVERY time he looks at me. The caramel color of his hair, and how it shines. His full and luscious lips. He's so beautiful inside, as well. I honestly cannot find one thing wrong with who he is. He always puts other people before himself..He's very giving and he has such a remarkable outlook on life. All around, hes just the most beautiful and amazing person to me. I'm really thankful to have him in my life.

    1) My wife, the first time I met her. We met online and our first date was in NYC. She was waiting for me at the train station and I had one of those "I'm going to marry that girl" moments in my head.

    2) an epic series of paintings chronicling the history of the Slavs, by Alphonse Mucha. I saw it in Prague, at the Mucha museum.

2a) A movie called "Marketa Lazarova". The greatest movie ever made that nobody's ever heard of outside of Czechoslovakia. I had to mention it because the Mucha museum and this movie were part of the same life-changing experience (my summer in Prague).

    3) The Mendocino sunset. I was by myself on a two-week business trip out in San Francisco. It was during the loneliest time of my life. I drove up to the Redwood National Forest on Saturday and got lost returning to the city. I found the highway and drove out of the mountains and all of a sudden I was at the Pacific Ocean but it was up on a cliff and it wasn't like any painting; the way the rays reflected off of the waves had a clarity that cannot be captured on canvas or film -- you just have to see it. It was a mind-blowing religious experience and it was and always will be the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.
