His "The No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency" series is classic.

That's kind of like asking what other authors write fantasy exactly like J.K. Rowling (answer: none).
Alexander McCall Smith has a unique voice that I've not found anywhere else.
For sweet novels, you might try the Mitford series by Jan Karon, starting with "At Home in Mitford."
For historical fiction, you might try "Mrs. Mike" by Benedict and Nancy Freedman.
For gentle mysteries, you might try "Aunt Dimity's Death" by Nancy Atherton, the first in a series.
Don't expect reading these authors to be like reading Alexander McCall Smith. But I think you might enjoy them in addition to the No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency series.
