Remember when you did something wrong and you got a spanking and it was never considered "child abuse".

Remember when you didn't dare talk back to your parents.

Remember when you got a big refrigerator box and turned it into a play house.

I was always in trouble as a kid, I mostly remember the switch and the belt, but the worst was the razor strap. I will never, ever forget the razor strap. I think I still have pieces of my butt missing from the razor strap. Cars with pointy fins. Cars that were every day and weighed more than most trucks do today. Buying rolls of caps and making homemade bombs in tin foil and a hammer. One flavor bubble gum. Ne-hi grape and orange soda. Being surrounded by orange groves(Southern California) and getting into orange fights with the kids from across the tracks and then eating the ammo. Being chased through the orange groves by the grower Mr. Crawford. The end of the Korean War and the start of the Viet Nam war. Real tinsel on Christmas trees and we didn't burn down the house. Hedges around the walkway to the front porch. Playing war in the fields surrounding the house after they chopped down all the orange groves. Super Chief trains that ran right behind the house with no sound barriers to keep from hearing their horns. 5 and 10 stores all over. Soda fountains that made the best shakes and malts in the world with real ice cream. Whitman's Samplers for Valentine's Day for your Mom and you always fought over the Chocolate covered cherry when she offered us one.

    Mom was always there.

Playing outside even after dark and under the streetlight.

Playing outside all day and only coming home to eat and sleep.

Playing my records over and over to learn the words perfectly.

Sleeping on the front porch because it was too hot upstairs.

The whole block including everyones yards was our playground.

Walking 3 blocks to downtown to buy a gallon of milk for 40 cents.

Went to "town" once a week for groceries.

Gave May baskets to our friends.

Building snow forts for snowball fights with the neighborhood kids.

Running down the alley with my friend to get away from my little brother.

Picking up pop bottles along the streets to get enough refund money to get a new bottle of pop.

    Hi there,

Millions of people all over the world are affected by hair loss, and it's not only the males that suffer this condition as even females are affected by this problem. What's sad is that many of the individuals affected by such a condition end up just accepting what is happening to their hair due to lack of information or options.

If you are looking for natural hair regrowth methods this is a good guide you can read http://hairagain.toptips.org/

    Have a nice day

Boy, does this bring back memories!

How about nickel ice cream cones?

The "Shadow" on Sunday afternoon radio?

Girls wore dresses to school instead of slacks, jeans, or shorts?

The Good Humor Man every summer afternoon?

"The Eyes and Ears of The World" at the movie theaters? Plus the coming attractions, and two movies? (at 19 cents) Saturday afternoon

And the giveaways at the movies?

We used to make what we called "gigs" out of an orange crate and two axles with wheels--and then go down the steepest hill we could find.

After dark playing outside, hide and seek, jump rope, and marbles under the streetlight.

    Ahhh, the good old days......

cleaning off the runners of the 'American Flyer' sled during the first sign of snow.

You didn't have to lock your bike up at school.
