How did YOU decorate your SENIOR CORDS ?

I still have my senior cords skirt. I think they ceased to exist in the early 70s. I had a picture of my boyfriend and I sharing a soda across the butt of my skirt. Then, the skirt was filled with all the school activities that I was involved in. Plus, there was a likeness of my dog. And, my friends all lined the bottom of the skirt. It was neat!

Edit: This was all painted on the senior cords. And, when they needed cleaned, you had to take them to the dry cleaners. The seniors at my school wore their "cords" every Friday until we graduated!

I pride myself in keeping up with what's going on, but I never heard of Senior Cords.

Was this a Regional Thing?
