What is the best way to keep a high school library open later?
I want the library to be open after school closes, but when I asked why it was not, the librarian said that there was not enough funding to pay someone to monitor the room. I'm looking for some creative ideas to fund the library for a monitor or another way to keep it open.
I'm aware of the problems, but I'm looking for a way to fix them.

There are other problems.
They probably don't want students on campus after school hours. It would require more than just a librarian to monitor that.
While people like yourself would avail themselves of the opportunity to be in the library, others would be up to mischief.
So before you begin looking for funding, talk to an administrator to see if there are other barriers that have to be worked out.
If all else fails, you can always go to the public library.

Talk to the school's PTA President, or PTO, or whatever parent organization your school has. That's what they are there for. Maybe, if it's a viable option, they can help you come up with some fund raising ideas and even help implement them.

write a letter to the editor of a local newspaper and ask it to be published asking for donations or ideas for funding the library to be open later.
parents will read it and may be moved to help
good luck

Pay-per-view pornography stations in privately housed co-ed enclosures, rentable by the minute to students.
You might not take it seriously, but compare the reality with any other idea given, and tell me which one would bring in the most revenue.... ;)
