Muslims, Is it fair to say for four thousand years Allah could not keep his word?

The Bible is corrupt? So for four thousnad years man prevented Allah from keeping his word?

Update:

Happy did Allah not have a word before his written word and how long did it take Allah to get his truth to you? 4000 Years?

Update 2:

Nirvans, Muslims use the name Allah in English all the time...and it is a different god.

Update 3:

Simon the god of Islam claims to be the God of Abraham or do you worship a different God?

Update 4:

Universal, You are correct 6:115 in their Qu'ran says Allah's word can not be changed....a clear contradiction if he says the Torah and Gospel are his and then says they are corrupt.

Update 5:

Zaid, You think the Qu'ran a miracle right? but all other words of Allh corrupted by man. So you believe your Allah so weak that man could prevent this miracle for four thousand years?

Update 6:

Singular, I thank you for your kind words.

I do thank God daily for the revelation I receive from him. Please understand the revelation I receive is not from Allah. I seek the truth and receive the truth from the true God of Abraham. I know of the spirit that Muhammad received his revelation from. It is not the spirit I choose to follow.

Update 7:

Jean you are correct God does not lie.

I receve revelation from God I do not presume what God means. God brings forth children through faith. It is by faith we know God. It is through faith we receive revelation from God. God is an eternal spirit and his truth is received through spirit. There is a way that seems right to a man but this way ends in death. It is not through flesh and blood we come to know God.

Update 8:

What did Abraham say? Abraham said the lord will provide himself a lamb.

What did Isaiah say...The Messiah would be as a lamb who ould atone for the sins of his people.

What did John the Baptist say...Behold the Lamb of God.

What did Jesus say....I am the way and the truth and the life no man comes to the Father but through the SON.

Update 9:

Simon consider your own words..It is Allah who claims to be the same God.

If Allah is nnot then who is he?

I say the answer is obvious.

Update 10:

Simon, Sorry at first I misinterpreted ..God Bless.

Update 11:

Muslim R Have you ever wondered why an all powerful God was so dependent on man to save his word? Have you ever wondered why no man before Muhammad was capable of such a feat?

Do you believe god wasted so much time on all of these people until he trusted his word to Arabs who are the only ones capable of keeping God's word safe?

Update 12:

adamjer so you agree that for four thouand years Allah was incapable of keeping his word?

Update 13:

Sternchen, You are exactly right. The Qu'ran refers Muhammad himself to these previous scriptures. The Quran says it is a continuation of previous scriptures verifying what came before it.

If the Quran is not in agreement as it says it is Why are there still Muslims? ..Allah tells them the word is not changed and yet the Quran is different from the previous scriptures.

I guess to be Muslim You have to believe that for four thousand year God couldnt or wouldnt keep his word,,then you ignore the parts of the Quran that say his word cant be changed and that this is a continuation veryifying that which came before..

Muslims tell us Allah could not keep his Word from the beginning. He acctually let People change the Torah and Gospel, and he could not prevent them losing it. That is not what is written in the Koran.

Speaking about all Scriptures God has given to mankind, the Koran says in SURA 10: 64: "No change is there in any of the words of Allah. That is what is the great attainment." Telling Mohammad to ask the People of the Book of that time if he is in doubt. Or would Allah refer to an already corrupt scripture? Muslim will say that the Torah and Gospel were originally the words of Allah, but that they had been changed later. Then that means the Koran is wrong and has a mistake in it. Because the Koran clearly says the words of Allah can never be changed. If the Old and New Testament have been changed then the Koran is wrong. If the Koran is right, then the Bible has not been changed.

Jesus as a prophet of God can not lie. He said to his followers: "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away." (Matthew 24: 35) Jesus promised that his words recorded in the Injil (the Bible) would never be lost or changed.

God also declares that He will punish anyone who tries to change the Bible: "I warn everyone who hears of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to this message, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the heavenly city, which are described in this book." (Rev. 21: 18 & 19) God guarantees that the Bible will never be changed. We can believe what God says.

But then the Quran proceeds to contradict the message of these books. Simply stated, if the Quran was the word of God, then it would not contradict what God has already so clearly established through the 40 prophets and apostles who wrote the Scriptures of the Bible.

So did the Mesopotamians, the Israelites, the Egyptians, the Phillistines and the Canaanites all lie. Did Abraham lie? Did Moses lie? Did Joshua lie?

Why would God say Jacob (Israel) was His chosen people and then say Ishmael (Ishmaelites) was His chosen people?

Why would God change who said, "I am the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob?"

God doesn't lie. God is more than able to protect His words. Man cannot change what God doesn't want changed. Muslims put way too much trust and faith in man.

Do you really think if a man wanted to alter the Word of God considerably that God would allow him to do it without killing him?

A man put his hand on the Ark to keep it from falling and God took his life.

Be reasonable. Open your heart to Jesus Christ, because Christ said if you don't have the Son, Christ Jesus, you don't have the Father (God.)

Satan is an angel of great light and Satan copies God. Who did Muhammad listen to in that cave? Why is it said that Muhammad picked Allah from 360 idol gods and goddesses?

We ask you who corrupted Torah and Gospel?, Say their followers for worldly interests. It is only after that Allah brought the Holly Quran and protected from being corrupted.

    Edit

    ______________________________

It is not Arabs who are keeping the Word of Allah not being corrupted. It is Allah himself. read Sura Al Hijr, Verse 9

    9. We have without doubt sent down the Message; and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption).

    Commentary

The purity of the text of the Qur-an through fourteen centuries is a foretaste of the eternal care with which Allah's Truth is guarded through all ages. All corruptions, inventions, and accretions pass away, but Allah's pure and holy Truth will never suffer eclipse even though the whole world mocked at it and were bent on destroying it.

Yes in the Koran also states that Allah's word cannot be corrupted. The Koran is so called perfect but yet I find many Errors in it easily. Satan has attmepted to corupt God's word in the Torah and Bible and showed no mercy for the quran as well. He trys to hide the idea of Salvation thorough Jesus Christ. He knows he cannot tell a direct lie so his tactic is mixing truth with half error.

Jewish Belief: Jesus died but is not the messiah nor son of GOD and not coming back.

Christian Belief: Jesus died for sins and is the Messiah and son of God

Muslim Belief: Jesus was replaced by someone (which comes from corrupted Christian agnostic gosples) And is the Messiah and coming Back.

Truth and Error -- Someone's Lying

Islam began just a little over 600 years AD, so, the 4,000 years is a bit off the mark, don't you think?

Now, as to the claim of "corruption" in the Torah and the Bible, I would question the basis on which an illiterate till his dying day could say that the Archangel Gabriel came to him bringing the Word of God where, of course, no one else around them could see nor hear Gabriel speaking.

What makes me really wonder about these credulous people is that it's very clearly said there, in the Koran, that Mohammad had "Revelations" that allowed him to take his own adoptive daughter in law - Zainab, for a wife, and his adoptive son - Zai'n divorced her as soon as he came to know of his adoptive fathers lust for her. Similarly, Allah gave him a "Revelation" which made the 9 year old Aisha bint Abu Bak'r "lawful" for him to marry; and both these incidents happened after he proclaimed himself "Prophet" and was in his 50's. I might be biased by my Western outlook, but, this doesn't look like a "Saintly" or "Prophet like" behavior.

However, the point is, actually, how real can we take his "Revelations" to be, in the light of these and many other such "Revelations" he said he had?

Personally, I'd say this seemed to be more of a sham, but then, if someone wants to believe his words, that's their problem.

Pity is that there are so many people who are taken in by what is most evidently a sham; but then, that's what you call "Belief".

    Peace.

    ST

    PS,

Islam claims a lot of thing, djmantx.

How much of that is true?

For example, the Torah and Bible do not have Ishmael having "begat" any children, but, according to Islam, he had 12 sons who became the 12 tribes of Adnani Arabs.

The Torah and Bible say that God's chosen son of Abraham was Isaac, while Islam claims Ishmael was the one.

Is Allah the same as God as we know Him?

    That's a million dollar question.

Many Muslims have Answered "No", here, while many have said "Yes".

Of course, the funny thing is that the Muslims carefully avoid using the word "God" instead of "Allah", which must make the Answer obvious.

    Take your choice.

    djmantx,

Ive seen a lot of your question and I think you should thank to god for had given you flawless idea although its against Islam... you are now entering the faith of Islam, eager to know about the faith of Islam.. I think.

for me, Ive seen this on positive side of view...and answering your question is like pouring water on yam leaf...your research on other people religion should not be manipulate because you are clever person unlike people who favor envious hatred and anger....

*The Last Prophet (PBUH) said: "Verily the one who recites the Qur'an beautifully, smoothly, and precisely, he will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels. And as for the one who recites with difficulty, stammering or stumbling through its verses (because he doesn't know how to read it but is trying to), then he will have TWICE that reward."

*Ibn 'Umar said "The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, took me by the shoulder and said, 'Be in this world as if you were a stranger or a traveller on the road."

    Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 8, Hadith 425

*The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Do not hold back (from giving to people and helping them), or God will withhold (His mercy and blessings) from you."

    Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 2, Hadith 513

    hey again!

no it is more deep than that superfacial opinion u have here!

god have sent so many religions to mankind to guide them and let them live happily here and in the heareafter , just the same message as islam , BUT....

God SWT, has entrusted men(the true followeers) to save it , and do it , but..

they didn't many weak souls have sold it for cheap wordly prices, they altered it changed it , misguided ppl for theie own benefits..

so God has sent islam as a correction and continuation and completion to the previous revelations, it didn't came to perish them it came to complete them and correct what men have altered and corrupted through eras, and ......

if u looki=ed into the Quran one would never find any alteration , not even a syllable in it , it is just the same since it was first reveled through the 1400 years, and islam is the last religion that5 is valide for all times!

Nay, Allah fails not in His word nor His covenant. It is mankind whom fails. By claiming divinity for themselves, ascribing partners unto Allah, setting up enemies unto Allah, taking thier desires as Lord, foresaking thier Lord, etc..

"And they wish to deceive Allah, but deceive none but themselves".

Man has attempted many times to corrupt His word, yet Allah is Perfect and His plan shall be deviated by none alhumdulillah. La ilaha ilAllah. Peace and Blessings be upon all Prophets of Allah. May He have love, peace, mercy, and compassion upon those whom choose to submit to His Lordship. Ameen

4,000 years is not an appropiate estimate. Abraham(pbuh) existed around 2000 BC circa and there were many Prophets prior to him(pbuh). Even in times of Noah(pbuh), son of Lamech(pbuh), son of Enoch(pbuh) there were always those whom wished to deceive Allah.

And when people say the bible is corrupt, it is. But when they say Bible, they are referring to the Injil and not the Tanach. Salaam!
