Delta Force requirements?
I want to "apply" for Delta Force a few years from now, but i keep reading everywhere that you need this or that, and im getting really discouraged..
I know you have to be SF, Ranger, SEAL, or something like that (Im a ranger).
I know you have to have 4 and 1/2 years of military service, be a certain rank, have proficiency in a language or marksmanship, pass a bunch of mental tests, and complete a 40 mile ruck march.
But now im reading that you need a college degree and a GT score of 120???
I have no plans of going to college, and my GT score is 108 ( i got a 2 point waiver to make it 110).
So can someone (if you know what you're talking about) please post the physical, medical, and any other requirements to even be looked at for Delta selection?
I plan of attending Sniper School in a year or two, and attempt to learn a language soon (idk tho), so im hoping that will help.
My old recruiter mentioned his friend got in bc of his 10min 2mile run. Is that all i need?
Thank you!
I also plan on attending HALO and Expert Infantry School. Will those help me also?

I'm friends with a SGT who's currently doing recruiting duty. He's done 2 tours of Afghanistan, 1 tour of Iraq, all with the 82nd. He's been to Ranger School, SFAS, and Airborne. Didn't qualify ranger, and didn't go to Q-Course.
A few weeks ago, he was contacted by SFOD-D (I saw the letter, nothing too fancy), and he had to turn them down because he's been doing recruiting so long, he's kinda out of shape. I'm sure there were other reasons, but he didn't tell me.
He's just an 11b. No real crazy qualifications, but he mentioned something about a few explosives classes, and how he can get a job working as a contractor after his military career is up, teaching how to handle, create, and dispose of explosive ordnances.
So like said above. If you're an 11b, and you've proved yourself capable, they'll come to you.
PS. This SGT, is 24, and next month, he's facing the SSGT board. He's done quite a bit.

Delta conducts worldwide recruitment twice a year prior to its fall and spring assessment-and-selection courses. I think the hard part is finding out where and how to sign up for those recruitment periods.
Might want to get friendly with an SF guy to find out. (Just saw ntolerant already posted that info).
Good luck.

You have to be airborne, ranger, and special forces, and like the guy above said, LOL They will contact you. You rememeber that seen in Men in Black they are looking for THE BEST OF THE BEST.
good luck

If you have to ask then you probably won't be selected. If they really want you they will probably not care if you go to Harvard or
speak Swahili.
