Girls' names....What do you think of these?

Call me old-fashioned, but I'm not a fan of taking normally spelled names, and purposely spelling them in an unusual way. Maybe because I grew up as a Shari and could never find my name spelled right on almost anything, and have constantly had to correct people on both the spelling and pronunciation. I'm also not a fan of gender-neutral names like "Dallas" or "Taylor" -- I think a girl should sound like a girl and a boy should sound like a boy. And finally, I'm not a fan of names that are considered hot or trendy, because trendiness only lasts a few years, but your child will be stuck with a one-hot name for the rest of his or her LIFE. All that being said, here's what I think of your names....

Alexa Jolie -- I like Alexa, but I'm tired of Angelina Jolie, so how about Julie instead? Julie's a beautiful name.

Amanda Jiselle -- I like Amanda, and I like Giselle, but not the odd spelling of Jiselle.

Aspen Rochelle -- Aspen is a city in Colorado as well as a type of tree; I do not think it sounds like a name. Or if anything, I think it sounds like a BOY, not a girl. Rochelle is an okay name; I could take it or leave it. I like Rachel better.

Jaidyn Amari -- NO! Jaden/Jayden/Jaiden is soooo gagglingly OVER-popular right now that there are enough kids with that name to populate a small city! Please don't saddle your child with this name. As for Amari, that sounds too ritzy and snobby. Sorry.

Cora Brooke -- both names are pretty and they go well together, too.

Georgia Desiree -- both names are okay; I don't have strong feelings way way or the other.

Hilary Gianna -- both names are pretty and they go well together, too. They'd also sound good switched.

Skyla Kaydence -- this is an example of a name that "tries too hard". Especially the Kaydence name -- that is NOT even a name. Sorry, but I just don't understand the "making up" of names out of words or sounds.

Libby Monique -- both names are pretty and go well together.

Summer Aaliyah -- I don't like the name Summer simply because it's become too trendy for my taste; the same with Autumn. Aaliyah might be okay if you really love the singer of the same name, but I don't really care for the name.

Dallas Mariana -- I actively dislike gender-neutral names, and Dallas is one of them. And if anything, it sounds more like a BOY than a girl. Mariana, on the other hand, is beautiful! So is Marina!

Alexa Jolie-- pretty and cute...jolie is kind of trendy though

Amanda Jiselle-- ok, like the spelling giselle better

Aspen Rochelle-- kind of cool, i like it ok

Jaidyn Amari-- jaidyn is very popular, but i like amari

Cora Brooke-- don't like brooke but love cora. it fits well.

Georgia Desiree-- not a fan of this one at all.

Hilary Gianna-- this one either. gianna is pretty.

Skyla Kaydence-- like cadence, don't like skyla/skylar

Libby Monique-- i don't like the way it sounds, but it's ok

Summer Aaliyah-- love aaliyah, don't like summer

Dallas Mariana-- mariana is gorgeous, dallas is so-so

I like Cora and Georgia, but Brooke and Desiree don't sound very appealing to me. If I could do some shuffling I'd have Cora Jolie and Georgia Monique

I like Cora Brooke the best as you have them listed. I also like Jolie for a middle name. Maybe Cora Jolie would work too. It will depend on how it goes with the child's last name.

Alexa, Brooke, Elizabeth, the rest are too trendy and affected. I would never name a child Hillary, because I hate Clinton.

Sorry but I don't like any of those names.

I like Cora, Georgia, and Hillary. Cora Hillary would be nice. The others are too trendy and masculine.
