How much violence is in "There Will Be Blood"?
I want to see this, but I don't know whether to take along a friend with a low tolerance for movie violence.

actually, there isn't much violence at all. a few people die from accidents in the oil wells, and it's a little brutal, but not gory or bloody. i have a very low tolerance for violence in movies and i never once had to cover my eyes. it was a great movie.

You should go.. and take your friend with you. There is no gratuitous violence in There Will Be Blood. What violence there is is pretty savage but it needs to be there and the savageness is the whole point.
If your friend objects to the violence.. well, at least you've both seen one of the best movies of the year.
