What can I do about my Dell Laptop...?
I bought a Dell 1505 laptop just over a year ago for 2000$. I bought the 3 year 24/7 on-site service for 400$ because of it being a laptop and the potential for damage.
Just a few months ago, (before one year was up) the battery went bad. I called Dell and ask for a replacement, they sent a new battery, but that did not solve the issue of having a 24 minute battery life. (The first year before battery went bad it was 1 hour 30 minutes) I called Dell again and told them the problem which they responded with telling me that they will send someone to replace the motherboard and battery connection within 3 days.
Its been over a month and they have not called or sent anyone to fix the problem... Is there anything I can do to get them to fix it or give me my money back?

You can write a quick snail mail letter to their corporate office, briefly describing what is wrong and what you have done to try to resolve it. Include the fact that you were promised that someone would fix it and it has been over a month that they have neglected your problem. Tell them this is your last attempt to resolve the matter before your write to your state's attorney general about Dell's negligence in keeping to their contract with a consumer.

First of all, if it was more than 48hs and they didn't call to schedule coming out to fix it - I would have called them back, the Dell repair dudes are just contractors and if I were you I would call or do a live chat with dell and tell them what is up.
They should come and replace it and it REALLY should be with in 48hrs (24 for the part to arrive and 24 to get you scheduled). I have delt with Dell on their Complete Care warranties for over 4 years and have never heard them taking this long, but again.. I never waited more than 48hrs to call back if I haven't heard anything.
More than likely the dude (dell contactor) skipped out with the part and made $$ on it (just kidding, but I do know it has happened...)
Any how, call them let them come and replace the part and make sure you get a case #.
Also, if replacing these parts do not work, they will send you a replacement laptop. I had a Dell that was 2 years into the warranty and the screen kept flickering after 2 parts were replaced (motherboard and screen) they replaced the entire laptop with a newer model that was better than what I had... and it was FREE!
They will not give you a refund.... but never wait for more than 48hrs to get a call for schedule.

Your best bet is to just call them again and tell them you have not received what you want. If your problem is large enough and you voice your problems they may just send you a new or refurbished laptop to replace yours.
