Left Brained, Right Brained and Religion?

(I won't mention the third option as it is specified... just to see who takes the test.)

I get these "test" emails from Tickle.com every once in a while and the one I got and took today got me thinking..... Is it possible that there is a correlation between the "side of the brain" that you think and make decisions with most AND your view towards religion/god(s)?

If you would be interested in finding out too, just take the free test at Tickle, post your results here and post your R&S "label" (ie: Christian, Muslim, Atheist, Agnostic... etc.)

http://web.tickle.com/tests/brain/authorize/signin...

If you don't like links, just go to tickle.com and type "The Brain Test" into it's search area. If you don't have an account it's free to make one and takes only a minute.

I realize many won't be interesting or don't have the time, that's fine. I'm just asking for those who would be interested in the results and do have the time.

Thanks everyone!

Update:

I'll add mine here, so you get an idea of what the results say. It's a little more details than percentages:

Sara, you are Balanced-brained

That means you are able to draw on the strengths of both the right and left hemispheres of your brain, depending upon a given situation.

When you need to explain a complicated process to someone, or plan a detailed vacation, the left hemisphere of your brain, which is responsible for your ability to solve problems logically, might kick in. But if you were critiquing an art opening or coming up with an original way to file papers, the right side of your brain, which is responsible for noticing subtle details in things, might take over.

While many people have clearly dominant left- or right-brained tendencies, you are able to draw on skills from both hemispheres of your brain. This rare combination makes you a very creative and flexible thinker.

The down side to being balanced-brained is that you may sometimes feel paralyzed by indecision when

Update 2:

Oh, and I'm a "Spiritual Atheist"

Update 3:

I did the one tawaen posted, to see if the results would be similar. They were. I'm still right at about 50% for each area.

I did the test but I disagree with the outcome. it said I was right brained, but it also said I was untidy ( sooo not true) I like fiction over non-fiction ( I hate fiction) and I am dis-organized ( I am organized ) so what do you make of this???

    I am a left-handed epileptic atheist

    could you explain what happened

    :-D

I asked this a while back and there was no correlation. (Different test.) But I only got about 15 answers.

Edit: It says I'm left brained. Which more or less agrees with the other test. And I'm a non-theistic pagan.

Most left-brained people like you feel at ease in situations requiring verbal ability, attention to detail, and linear, analytical ability. Whether you know it or not, you are a much stronger written communicator than many, able to get your ideas across better than others.

It's also likely that you are methodical and efficient at many things that you do. You could also be good at math, particularly algebra, which is based on very strict rules that make sense to your logical mind.

I'm not so sure there is a correlation, but it's a great theory. Normally I am right-brained, I am a digital artist and I write poetry and fiction alot ... but lately because I am doing so much researching and studying I've slipped into a left-brained mode and it's hard for me to do anything creative. I think it's more of what you do most of the time that has the effect, but I would like to perhaps see a study on this one day. Very interesting topic.

PS: I am a Celtic pagan with Buddhist tendencies ...

That last paragraph is waaayyy off. I have never been good at math and always struggled with it in school. Interesting though.

    Edit:

I took Tawaen's test also and got different results, go figure...here's those results...

    I'm left brained.

I'm Extremely analytical and skeptical. However, my skepticism goes beyond the usual "trust science and be skeptical of the paranormal," instead I'm, "skeptical of everything, including science."

I find science to be perfect in theory, but flawed in application. The scientific community of today is almost unanimously based on the philosophical principle of materialistic monism, and also, sadly, on politics and nature human failings, such as a predisposition to see your own preconceptions instead of what's actually there.

Also, I find the spiritual to be highly possible. Since I was a young girl, I've always had a "6th sense." Walking around school reading a book, and dodging trip attempts without even seeing the kids, etc etc, lots of examples. This talent, coupled with my drive for methodology and the scientific method has led me to study, analyze, and essentially, rip spirituality to shreds.

I have personally found it to be true. (In fact, my husband and I are considering whether or not it'd be worth it to try and go for the $1 million prize from the www.randi.org challenge.)

But, I don't generally accept anything within spirituality that I can't test. Energy work can be tested. So I'm good with that. Other things, though, have to be the result of philosophical thinking and analysis of info. Evidence, in my humble opinion, tends to lead towards the existance of God (lots of holes in evolutionary thinking, imo), so I basically take the assumption that God is real, but I don't take that belief too seriously, as counter evidence would easily sway that.

Kind of like, if you vaguely know where Nigeria is, you think it's in X place, but if you find out it's in Y place, it's not exactly going to change your world.

Edit: I took the other test, and I got:

    Auditory : 16%

    Visual : 83%

    Left : 55%

    Right : 44%

It says right-brained, but I'm having trouble getting the rest of my results. I'm an atheist.

It says I'm left brained. I won't post the whole blurb as others have already done so. I'm Wiccan.
