Are you supporting Obama and the HSUS?
How many animal people are leaning toward Obama? and Do you know that he is the only candidate that openly endorses and is openly endorsed by the HSUS? and Does that make a difference at all in your support?
PLEASE no fights. I just read up on this in detail, and it made a difference to me. Just wondering if it mattered much to anyone else involved with animals.
It sounds good to say that you support animals rights, and will fight against cruelty. That's a good thing, but not the HSUS way,,,,,,unfortunately animal rights and animal wellfare are two VERY different things. HSUS does not support animal welfare. Here's one link, I'll add them as I find them.
Good on the particular questions, but notice that ALL of the answers are yes? A YES man for HSUS?
Don't misunderstand,,, I agree that animal wellfare should be addressed,,,my issue is with this person kissing up to HSUS which has the same agenda as PETA. The end result they are looking for is NO pets ever. And the idea is that death of animals is better than living in our homes. That's my issue,,,,not that someone supports treating animals well.

while the HSUS has people who may not have animal welfare as their first & foremost goal, i believe the organization as a whole still has a very different agenda from PETA, and they are still very much for helping animals in any way, shape & form. this includes having them as pets. their own website touts the benefits of companion animals, so i doubt they are as much against a human:animal bond as people claim. if they were so dead-set against people having them as pets, why would they put this on their website?

having said that, knowing that they find Obama a good enough man to endorse doesn't make me want to vote for him all the more. he has no control over who endorses him and who doesn't, be it the HSUS, Farrakhan or Oprah. his own credos and morals & beliefs make me want to vote for him, not the fact that someone else says to do so.

No. Just because the HSUS endorsed him doesnt mean anything but that he convinced them that he would be a good leader, or a good person to the animals. Right now, it's important to look for the leader that will serve our country the best......then focus on the animals.
But, I dont really know. I mean, my teacher said today that a President is a President, but they are not Congress or anything like that. They can really just veto things, most things are determined by these other houses. In my opinion, as long as we have a president that does not have huge stock in oil companies, or a thrist for war, everything may be okay for awhile.

Do you have a link to info on this? I have some reading up to do in order to decide who to vote for, but animal and nature issues are some of the most important to me. I really don't know much about the different candidates yet though :-$

I don't like that view, but he is still better than McCain, Huckabee and Clinton.
I don't like animal rights activists and people who support them. They are crazy and a holes.

news to me! I will support him if he beats Hillary...I think she is the better candidate, but unfortunately I don't think enough people think like I do.
