    I'd say around 18-20 lbs.

When I weighed 125-130, I was wearing a size 4 in AE jeans. I was 5'4, as well.

I'm 5'4", also, and when on an anti-depressant 12 years ago, I went from 112 to 146. I have a small frame and, for every 7 pounds that I lost, I said "goodbye" to an inch in my bust, waist and hips. My measurements, at 112, are 35, 23, 36 and the clothes I buy are size 8 - at 146, I was wearing a 14!!

Check your measurements against the QVC size chart (link below) to see how many inches you need to deduct then, commit to a low fat diet of, about 1450 - 1500 calories a day for the next 5 weeks - you should lose, at least, 8 pounds. Dress size, however, shouldn't be your guide - it's more important to have a healthy BMI and, if you're large-boned, you shouldn't weigh less than, about, 135 for your height.

Re: The Diet - the bad news is that low-fat = no more than 2-1/2 TBsp. a day of butter or mayo' (sorry). Salad with lemon-juice dressing plus lemon juice on green beans or broccoli and, only, 1 tsp. of butter on half a baked potato (if you like sour cream - buy the low-fat one). I do suggest, tho', that you allow yourself a "treat" once a day (perhaps a soy yoghurt and a, small, cookie?). If you've, never, tried it before - soy yoghurt is like a dessert topping!

Hope you're able to get to the weight you wish to be but, mainly, it's important to feel well and be on a healthy diet.

A rough rule of thumb is 15 pounds per dress size or notch on your belt. So to get down to a size 3, you'd have to lose 45 pounds which would be too much for a person of your size.

Remember, it's not about the weight but the body fat. I would assume you're around 30% bf as it stands which puts you in the high-normal category.

This means you're carrying around 44.4 pounds of fat on your body. It's therefore impossible for you to lose 45 pounds of fat as you simply don't have that much and it's very dangerous for a woman to go below 10% bodyfat. So even if you were to lose 20%, that would only be around 22 pounds (give or take). This could put you into a size 4, but it would take a lot of time, discipline and effort for you to get to that point. Chances are you'd wind up losing muscle as well which could account for greater weight loss.
