What can Italians do in Malaysia?
I have an Italian bf who is moving to Malaysia where I live now, however he doesn't have a degree to start a job here. And what I can do now is helping him with getting a job.
However, some jobs here are only available to people from Indonesia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Thailand, mostly Asian countries. I have problems with looking for a job for him.
And please don't suggest us to get married cuz that would be the last thing we'd do.
So, can anyone here gimme some suggestions regarding this? Thank you.

Malaysia is divided into East and West Malaysia and there are many opportunities to do business instead of working. Italian food restaurant may be just a suggestion . However, Malaysian banks are competitive like Islamic Banks , Capitalist Banks, Financial Houses and so on.

I agree with kaiweng. Teaching Italian is a start.
But if he's heading for ISKL, they need some academic background. And most of the local collage needs the background, it's compulsory.
Maybe he should look in local linguistic center. They always hiring staff, the more exotic the languages, the better.

First you need to find out what skill he has and what financial background. If no skill at all, then learn something Italian before coming over. Job will not be good unless highly skilled. Start a small business in anything Italian. e.g.
Italian food outlet
Italian pasta/spaghetti manufacturing
Italian car service centre
Italian singing class - ala Pavarotti style
export malaysian goods to Itali
Italian furniture designing and making
Italian tourism
To name a few, look at what Italian are good at and learn some skill before coming over.

Scalini's l. a. Piccola Italia is the final italian eating place i've got been to in Kuala Lumpur. bare in recommendations the cost is somewhat costly. Chinoz KLCC isn't an Italian eating place that's fusion.

If he can cook, there are plenty of Italian and "Malayatalian" restaurants.
One european-looking guy has set-up a pizza "booth"in a Nasi Kandar in Taman Tun.
Accepting that he has no educational qualifications, does he have no specific skills?

lol i was going to say hook up with the local girls.
anyway anyway, im pretty sure he should be able to find a job similar to what he is doing now in italy, with the experience that he has got up his sleeves, finding a job in m'sia shouldnt be easy if you do not mind working from bottom. dont expect high salary too, as you probably would have known it.
or you know, he can do some training in trade skills which would probably take like half a year or so, then come to malaysia to set up a business to provide such services

Open up an Italian business - restaurant, pizza, spagetti, pasta, whatever ... something he's an expert in.

Sacha, he might be your bf but do you know anything about his background other than no degree? Check his background before you get yourself into deepshit. It pays tobe prudent.
