What is the rarest sight in Malaysia?
My vote would go to a car with Singapore number plates driving within the speed limit on the N-S highway.
7 AnswersMalaysia10 years agoAre the immigration delays at KLIA to be routinely expected?
About 2 weeks ago it took me 3 hours from deplaning to clearing customs.
A friend had an identical experience a week later. The delays are not at the Malaysian lines, just the foreign passport lines. Coupled with the closure of the sky train, this makes entering via KLIA an extremely unpleasant experience. Does Malaysia want to discourage foreign visitors?
2 AnswersMalaysia1 decade agoReady for imminent Prohibition?
It's mooted that the intention is to ban sales of alcohol in predominantly Muslim areas of Selangor. As the population of Malaysia as a whole is 50.4% (current statistics) Muslim, will this therefore be a precursor to the whole of Malaysia being declared an alcohol-free zone?

...isn't it evident that organized religion is a haven for sadists, paedophiles and control freaks?
Why then does so much of humanity continue to allow itself to be subservient to "religion" which seeks only to control their lives and hinder their freedoms?
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIsn't it time that supposedly celibate octogenarians stopped portraying themselves as experts on sexual issues?
I'm referring to the pope's comments regarding Africa's HIV pandemnic and the (non) use of condoms. Aren't his remarks not only irresponsible but "un-christian"? Made soley to reinforce the Vatican's medieval stance on contraception, without any regard for the consequences to catholics in Africa?
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIs it too early to say that the world's hopes for a less violent USA under Obama were misplaced?
10 people dead in Alabama shootings (can we expect any gun controls?)
Invasion of what Chinese call their territorial waters (the US have admitted they knew what they were doing so it can only be described as deliberate provocation). Why??

2 AnswersThailand1 decade agoWhy does the US Government feel it has to interfere in the internal affairs of a sovereign democracy?
I refer to its expressed "concern" about the arrest of former Malaysian deputy PM Anwar Ibrahim for questioning on a criminal matter. What business is this of the USA?
4 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoCause for mass resignations?
Now that Petronas have announced profits in excess of $18 billion only a few weeks after the 41% petrol price hike, shouldn't this be a signal for the entire government to summarily resign? The rakyat are presumably footing the bill for the fat cat Petronas shareholders' increased dividends?

The PM has just announced cancellation of the 2nd Penang bridge project. One of the reasons given is that they must make sure the bridge design is the most suitable. Is George Bush moonlighting as his speech writer?

5 AnswersManchester1 decade agoHave Securicor some special priviliges?
Last night on a highway near Bukit Kiara, a convoy of 3 Securicor vans, preceded by a pick up van with a flashing light and siren, bludgeoned everyone out of the fast lane and sped off into the distance. There was no police presence or outriders. Do they have the right to do this? Or is it just a ploy by a private company to speed up their deliveries?
4 AnswersMalaysia1 decade agoTerrorism of Hoax?
I just received an e-mail allegedly originating from Ampang Gleneagles Hospital which claims 7 women have recently died after sniffing a perfume sample received in the mail. It suggests the Government are keeping it under wraps as they suspect it's the latest method of indiscriminate terrorism. Anyone else heard anything? True or just a hoax in poor taste?
