A-Chemical
B-electromagnet
c-nuclear
d-thermal
Which is true about ferromagnetic materials?
A.-They are all permanenet magnets
B-They are permanent magnets that have domains that are randomly oriented.
c-they are permanent magnets that have domains that remain alligned for long periods of time
d-they don't have domains and can't be magnetized.
Which would reduce the resistance of a metal wire.
A-increasing thickness
B-increasing temperature
C-Increasing length
D-All of the above
Which of the following is maintained across the terminals of a battery?

Solar cells convert electromagnetic energy (sunlight) to electrical energy. The answer is B
Solar cells do NOT convert heat (thermal energy) to electrical energy
Ferromagnetic materials are permanent magnets that have randomly oriented domains. The answer is B
The random orientation of the domains is why a piece of unmagnetized steel does not act the same way as a magnetized one (which has its domains more aligned.)
Increasing the wire thickness decreases the resistance
The answer ia A
Increasing temperature for almost all materials increases resistance
Increasing length will always increase resistance
Batteries (as long as they are not dead or dying) maintain a constant electrical potential difference across their terminals.
The answer is A. I don't consider B to be correct because I consider a voltage drop as oriented in the opposite direction. That one is a little fuzzier than the others though.

I was tempted to give you the wrong answers with explanations that would convince you that they are correct. I'm smart enough to convince you that any wrong answer I could give you would be correct. I, however, do not want to see you or anyone else fail. You will fail if you continue to ask people to think for you and do your homework. I am also concerned about the others who answer your questions thinking that they are right, and you blindly follow their advice even when they are wrong! How can you trust any answer here?
I risk taking thumbs down on this response but I don't care - report me if you want. I want to know what everyone else thinks.

1) B
think about it, solar cells turn light, which is an electromagnetic wave, into electricity
2) C
3) A
R = pl/A (R=resistance, p=resistivity, l=length of wire, A=area of wire) this means that if you increase the area (thickness) of the wire the resistance will go down
4) D
potential difference and voltage drop are the same thing

If this is a test I can't help you. Tests are used to see how well you undesrtood a topic. but if I tell you it'll make no difference. I will not help you cheat.
