Do you think Blu-ray is being used to it's best ability?

Does anyone remember early DVD's that had 0 extras and the Disney movies where Disney just slapped a movie on a disc? I am curious if you guys think Blu-ray is having the same outcome and it'll be awhile until Blu-ray is put to it's full use. :-)

at this point - there are some pretty decent features on blu-ray and Disney so far has seemed to be the one to best push it to it's potential as far as features are concerned. However, I think the potential is far greater than what we've currently seen. Currently, up to 10 layers have been able to be "crammed" onto on blu-ray without any data loss on each layer - meaning a total of about 250GB of data storage. I can't imagine what this could be used for as far as video and features are concerned. Not like it has reached the potential of holographic versatile discs - which can hold the entire contents of the library of congress, for example - but it does still prove interesting to ponder.

I think there's still significant room for improvement.
