Adding highlights with rinse to dyed hair?

I use permanent (dark auburn) hair color. I'd like to add a rinse that would add some more vibrant highlights.

Anyone have suggestions? Or different ideas? Or is this not even a good idea?

Rinses are like watered down food coloring. Try Red Expressions Daily Color Enhancing Shampoo. Designed for natural, color treated or highlighted

hair. For all red shades—auburn to burgundy. Non-color-depositing Pro-Vitamin system, with cherry bark extract, helps maintain

    color radiance and lasting shine.
