Do vitamins exist in our bodies?
Do vitamins exist in our bodies origionally or do we put them there with the things we do and eat? Example, vitamin C, we are taught from an early age that we can eat an orange and gain extra Vitamin C, or maybe that vitamin C helps us fight off sickness or disease, but is vitamine c already in our bodies?
I have a friend that takes like 20 'organic or herbal' vitamin pills daily and she tells me how she needs them to build her immune or fight of sickness, or that it replaces the vitamies that she looses during the day...which may be true...but do we already have these vitamines in our system naturally or are we putting more foreign matter in our system by taking vitamines each day?

Certain vitamins are made in our body like vitamin K and Vitamin A is converted from caroten in our bodies. Vitamin D is also converted from sunlight in our bodies. Too much of vitamin D can be toxic. This is one of the most toxic vitamins in large doses. If you aren't eating properly, then you may need supplements, but they need to be in the correct amounts.

We need to take vitamins in in our diet our through our activities (eg sunlight converting the precursor cholesterol to vitamin cholcalciferol). Our bodies do not naturally produce them.
