any insight on hdtv model numbers?

anyone know anything about or how to figure out the differences between models? for example, olevia has a 7 series, 5 series, 3 series. from what I gather the 7 series is the best and then down the line. the other companies use more numbers. I don't want to end up with a lesser model. I wish I could phrase this better, sorry about that. any info would be appreciated.

    There is way of knowing how the marketing dept. of each company decides to market their TVs. In general, bigger numbers correspond to better models.
