    When I read your question I immediately thought of the song "Send the Pain Below" by Chevelle. But, it's a male singer, and the lyrics aren't exactly what you described. It is hard rock though.

    Probably not what you were talking about... but a good song anyway!

    I can't think of any hard rock song, sung by a woman with those lyrics. (Can't find anything online either that meets all three requirements.)
