Women proposing...?

As is tradition on feb 29th, I proposed to my boyfriend this morning (he said yes!).

I was just wondering if any other women out there proposed?

If so how did you do it?

Or if you are a man and were proposed to how did she do it?

I wrote my boyfriend a poem in Irish asking him

I think you writing a poem to ask him is really lovely and very romantic!

Like you, I've been wondering over this 29th February business for months now and I plan to ask my boyfriend TONIGHT and am absolutely terrified!! I know he will say yes as we've hinted to each other lately so it wont be a complete shock to him. He sent me a wee text last night indicating that if I were to pop the question today it would make him the happiest man alive, so that kinda takes the worry out of the response.

    Oh heck...nerve-wrecking stuff!

I'm too much of a traditionalist. I think it's great that you ladies feel comfortable enough to propose your your men, but for me to do it would look pathetic. I can't even imagine proposing. I would feel like I looked desperate and insecure. Almost like I was begging him to marry me.

Kudos to you all for getting up the nerve to ask! Congrats if he said yes!

The actual sources point out that once Khadijah, would Allah be happy along with her, became into attracted to her, she had her chum help her in "suggesting" marriage to the Prophet, peace be upon him. in this variety, her concept became into oblique. From the Sharia attitude, there is not any longer something in any respect that prohibits a woman to signify to a guy. even with the undeniable fact that, human nature tells us that a guy is in many situations the seeker, and the female is in many situations the guy sought. If a guy became right into a suitable guy or woman, he could fee his spouse no count in spite of if it became into her or him who proposed to the different. even with the undeniable fact that, we are no longer suitable, and whilst issues get up (that's virtually a undeniable subject), the guy will fee extra the female whom he asked for and did an attempt to marry her, extremely than the female who proposed to him. In my lifestyle there is virtually no longer a single case of girls human beings featuring to adult men, yet there are some situations the place the kinfolk of a woman could advise to a guy marrying their daughter. this is seen as solid in non secular circles, yet nevertheless human beings experience ashamed of speaking approximately it! Peace-salaam.

I joked about it with my man this morning, but I'm not going to do it, because he's made it pretty clear he's gonna ask me....but when I'm least expecting it, apparently!

My wife asked me. It wasn't real romantic or anything, she just looked at me and said "why don't you marry me?" and I said ok!!! I did make a romantic moment when I gave her the ring, but thats another story!!
