Harry Bulletmagnet leads by example. Why doesn't the Bush clan?

Just like Lion Heart, Prince Harry returns back home a war hero.

No member of the Bush family goes to the unnecessary war they invented.

How does it make you feel as an American citizen? Do you feel as ashamed as I do? Once again we prove to the whole world to see how incredibly arrogant we are.

Update:

Deek Squad - No thanks, no abortion clinics for me. Please stick to the issue at hand.

Update 2:

General comment - Believe it or not, I respect the military.

The Bush twins are too high-class to take part in something the "little people" do, thank you very much.

Yes, Prince Harry is "little people".....like totally....Bush twins are so much more high-class and royal.

  • No. I don't feel in the least bit embarrassed. I really see no need for any Bush family members to serve in the armed forces unless they choose to do so.

As to American arrogance, I think that impression will dissipate the next time we send our Marines in to save some country's butt.

Far from being a war, this is a police action. A police action that, if you've been following along of late, is very rapidly winding down. It's to the point now where it can be statistically shown that Washington DC is five times more dangerous than the entire nation of Iraq. So your ire is a little late and not terribly well supported.

On a side note, while I have great respect for Harry and his motives, hero? I think that word is getting applied a little too liberally these days. He did his duty, as all men should. You may become a hero doing your duty, but doing your duty does not necessarily make you a 'hero'.

And The Clinton military legacy is? How about the Obama military legacy? At least Bush served in the Air Force.

Do you hold the rest of the world to the same standard?

Let's start with Congress. Why don't they lead by example by not having a retirement program that is separate from Social Security? How about they get their own Health Insurance as well, rather than have the most complete and total health care coverage on the planet, while designing something else for the rest of us poor unfortunates that have to buy our own?

How about the individual Congressmen (namely Charlie Rangel) who are all for banning private ownership of firearms, but yet he shot a teenage boy for trespassing on his property (the boy wanted to use the pool at Charlie's modest abode on a hot summer day).

How about a Congresswoman who demands to be protected from potential attacks in Congress, expects it to be provided by minimum wage workers, and then goes ballistic when one of them doesn't recognize her on sight.

How about a Congress that moans about the ill effects of internet obscenities, but turns a blind eye to child molestors in their own midst.

How about a Congress that wants to lecture America on personal fiscal responsibility and use of credit card debt, but nearly ever last one bounces checks on the House Bank, and hasn't balanced the ANNUAL federal budget since the Nixon era (balancing the ten year projections by creative accounting is NOT balancing the annual operating budget).

If you feel ashamed to be an American, rest assured that there are a great number of people who agree with you. I think I speak for a lot of people that are ashamed you are an American, too.

Typical liberal drivel. Do you not realize that the military is not for everyone? It takes a special person to become a soldier. Bush's two daughters are meant to be something other than soldiers. It just goes to show how little respect you anti war liberals have for our soldiers.
