More Democrats voted FOR the war than against. What happened? Did they see the error of their ways or are they just saying what they think the people want to hear?
joeanima...although I do not agree with some of the things you wrote, I do agree with some other things you wrote. This country does need a political makeover. We no longer need politicians, we need a statesman who truly loves this country and its people (wishful thinking?).

ya well, from what i've gathered, the Democrats thought the war would last just a few weeks, we would come out as liberators, and gas would drop to about a dollar a gallon, and everyone would live happily ever after~!!!
plus we were bein fed a lot of crap and lies (documented) to lead us into the war~!!!
even Colin Powel, whom everyone trusted, sold his soul to monkey fu*k Bush~!!!
im sure if their was do-overs that most Democrats AND Republicans that voted for the war would hopefully admit their mistakes and change their votes~!!!
if only BOTH political sides could throw their pride and egos on the back burner for a while and let us get our respect back in the world, move on and make things work out for the best~!!!
we need to take care of business here at home, we need an xtreme make-over and some remodeling done~!!!

Perhaps they, like the rest of us at the time, were caught up within the emotional aftermath of 9-11, and those that voted for War in Iraq didn't stop to think about the reasons why.
After all...they are Humans--just like the rest of us--and they can make mistakes.
