why are some people so insistent on letting non English speaking people do whatever they please?

If you are talking about the U.S., I refuse to learn Spanish. The immigrants whether they are legal or illegal need to learn to speak English or go home. It really pisses me off when I hear press "one" for English and "two" for Spanish. I've cancelled two credit cards for this reason already.

I've never been told I have to learn another language.. And I have a job and only speak english.. Is this a question for the U.S.??

BTW-- If this is for the U.S... You should take your concerns to business.. They use spanish and english because they want the profit that comes from the Spanish speaking population.. That, is why it is a problem... If you call it a problem.. I don't really see it just yet.. But understand how it could become...

I think its' discrimination, you have to sued the company that ignored you. Maybe the company is Spanish thats why they don't want you because you don't speak Spanish language.

I think people so insistent on letting non English speakers to come here because they are very cheap workers, you can pay them 3$ a day and they still work for you in the fields.

I think, don't complain and just find another job. Non English speakers will suffer in their native country if government suddenly will decided to kick them out. Most of them have families and kids.

now, because they are incharge and dont mind learning spanish, the u.s. doesnt care and doesnt mind learning spanish. the company would only be in it for the money, so if they have to print more things in spanish to get money they will. id probably start learning spanish, because its eventually going to become either the official or the normal language of the u.s.

Reality is that businesses are going to hire the people that they want. If they can not get them in their own country they can bring immigrants with a work visa, so there is no point to "deport" all of them because the business will do anything to make money.

The revolution starts with voting those out of office who will not do as the citizens ask! It is appauling to me.

If you are required to be bi or multi-lingual, I hope you are compensated accordingly. If not, I agree it is unfair.
