The heaviest .223 Remington bullet I've ever seen was a 77gr Sierra Game King. I've heard of those extreme shock bullets, supposed to be some kind of tungsten jacket or core or some such.
What the heck is up with all the thumbs down around here lately? Aklius gave a good solid answer and 2 td's??

The only 100 grain .223 bullet I have seen on premade ammo was by some real wacky company that sells crap, extreme shock or something like that....otherwise 100 grainers are normally for use with supressors on short barreled AR-15s. As you note, it onily goes 950 fps, which is slower than the speed of sound, so no sonic boom
Neither choice is going to be a good deer bullet.
What's worse, such heavy rounds will often not stablize in your barrel, and will be hard to hit your target...and with a 223 hits are needed.
The one bullet that I have heard works good for deer from a 223 is the Federal Premium Vitalshock wich is a 60 or 62 grain bullet.
And yes, I am one of those who consideres the .223 very marginal for even small texas whitetails, let alone the monster bucks that grow in the woods in more northern states

if you are already defending your question you already know the answer. i have seen a a deer killed with a .204 that was accidentally shot during a night varmint hunt. granted it was shot between the eyes but why take a chance. subsonic ammo is designed for suppressors and i dont think you are going to run in to a deer in a cqb situation. use your 30/30 before a deer tries to return the favor with a one of his antlers.

.223 is NOT a gun you should even consider using for deer hunting. Why dont you be responsible and buy a hunting rifle or shotgun and quit posting stupid questions.

If you need to use a .223, use a 64g Winchester power-point.
