Any suggestion with this problem?

Im a Network Admin, running a W2000 server and XP SP2 desktop and laptops.

Recently, about 3 weeks, i got problems with the portables. While logging or trying to log to the computer a message pops up

THE SERVER IS NOT AVAILABLE.

I have read and made all suggested stuff from Microsoft KB, but this laps can not log without being attached to my network cable. So, in journeys outside the building, using the device is more than impossible.

Any suggestion...

Anyone has the same problem...

Or at least, anyone knows what Q must be uninstalled?

Peace!

Update:

The real problem is when trying to log locally to the machines, with no nerwork stuff connected. Not everywhere those laps travel have stuff for a vpn setup. The pain in the *** is that the users cannot logon locally as usual.

Thanks for trying bro!
