How can I permanently block certain users fom my email account?
I have an aquaintence who sends me trivial messages, questions, forwards, etc. all day, every day. I have to delete at least 50 messages a day & my screen stays annoyingly full.
I don't want to hurt her feelings. Is there any way I can do this without her knowledge?
Minddoc, Your english is excellent. Not to worry.. Nice job.

From the main screen in Yahoo mail, select OPTIONS in the upper right hand corner. From the next screen select "Block Addresses" (Should be the 3rd option down mid-left screen). On the next screen, enter the email address you wish to block and click "Add Block."
Yahoo allows you to block 500 email addresses.
As to whether or not the person you are blocking knows you are blocking them, I do not think that they do...for two reasons:
First, I have a relative who is a big spammer who I have had blocked for years. I wondered this same thing at one point, wondering if I hurt his feelings by blocking him--if he was aware he was blocked. So I unblocked him and, lo and behold, didn't have to wait very long for his spam to come rolling back into my inbox, clogging it like chicken wings clog a fat guy's arteries. The inference is: he never knew he was blocked and kept sending me the emails. If you knew your emails were being blocked, wouldn't you stop sending these emails?
Second, just to be safe I did a little expiriment with my two email addresses and blocked one with the other then sent a message from the blocked address and, whaddayaknow, no notification that my email was blocked. Waited 15 minutes just in case mail was slow and still no "Blocked email" notification. I did check with the other email address to make sure the mail was successfully blocked, and it was.
Sooooo...if you are using email, it appears that the person you are blocking will have no idea. There is no notification or bounced email message sent.
Block on wit yo bad self.

If you go to options in your email, (you don't state what email service/accout you have), you should see "options", open and look for where you can block the email address. I use it in Yahoo Email. You must type in the email address and click on block. You have to option to change the block to unblock later if you so desire.
Sorry to say that the person on the other end will know that they have been block when they attempt to send you an email. I don't know of any way you can avoid them not knowing.
Please excuse my English, not my primary language. Hope the above will help you.

the two yahoo and google mail are being blocked. the blunders message reads; "The IP address has been blocked using a spike in destructive email information." as quickly as an IP address is on the blocked record, it won't in any respect be bumped off. i attempted utilising the webmail for my internet site (not yahoo or google) and replaced into finally in a position to get through. i think of. No leap messages yet.

add her to your spam list
it might actually be better in the long run to tell her, who knows how many other people are doing the same thing to her. It might be more beneficial for her if you hurt her feelings.
