how to obtain a cheaper air ticket being a stand by traveler?

what I mean being stand by is - my day in travel is flexable, whenever the air company has a vacant seat for me.

You can sometimes obtain a standby ticket by contacting the airline personally, either via email or telephone. However, airlines do not often advertise them thoroughly as they present problems when people are offended by the fact they are not put onto a flight for a couple of days. Unfortunately, naive people who think they will be gauranteed a place on an immediate departure have ruined it for the rest of us!

These days standby tickets are often offered to staff and people who have been taken off a previous flight by the airline itself.

Booking either fantastically early, or even better fantastically late, can usually get you a cheap ticket as the airline attempts to fill all the seats on the plane.

    Hope this helped!

I have been working in the airline industry for the last 16 years, and standby tickets for the general public are definitely a thing of the past.

I don't know of any airline that still offers them, except for staff tickets (reserved for staff members and their family and friends).

With ticket prices at an all-time low, most people can now afford special offers which are often advertsed on the airlines' websites. When I started working as a ticket agent for TWA in the ealry nineties, the cheapest fares between, say, NYC and Europe was about 1000 dollars.... now you can find tickets for three times less ...

They do sell standby tickets at some airlines at the ticket counter. Keep in mind its at a full fare and usually refundable if you do not make the flight. They are only sold if the flight is full or over booked and the person purchasing the ticket is desperate to try and get out with the hopes of making

I work for this airline so I know but I will not disclose the name. lol.

Both are usually appeals for things you ask for selfishly or ought to take care of yourself. The Lottery costs you a around 70 cents for each dollar of return on the long term, and it has only materialistic benefits. Prayer doesn t cost you anything, the results are based on the request s agreement with the perfect divine plan, and it can have eternal benefits. The Lottery will break your bank account, but investing in prayer builds your heavenly account -- if you have accepted the deposit that s waiting to take you out of the red.

You can select as alternative "FLEXIBLE TRAVEL DATES" for the day of your return (example between May 6th and May 16th) and then when you get the results you can select the cheapest option.
