Alternative browsers such as Opera or Firefox are generally unaffected by scripts which instruct IE not to allow the saving of images.
Whilst using Print Screen, or better still Alt + Prt Scr as it only saves the currently selected window, will save to the clipboard, you will not have access to the original image file. That is, you are seeing the results of it once uncompressed, and if you want to save it to disk after cropping the surrounding area, you must either do so uncompressed (such as in .bmp format) to preserve the quality, or sacrifice some quality be resaving it as a .jpg yourself.
An alternative browser likes those mentioned will almost always let you save the image file being displayed to disk. The exception is if the site is using Flash or some other additional software to display the picture, in which case more specialised software is needed to save it.

try using alternative browsers like mozilla firefox, you can just right click the image then select Save Image As... If no options, or the selection is disabled, try saving the whole page, images of the site will also be saved.

Get Mozilla Firefox, goto the website, click on Tools -> Page Info -> Media -> Find the picture in the list -> Click Save As

'save image as...' an option if you right click your mouse.
(xp & Vista).
Ok. this does not work?
the image could have copy restrictions set.
Normally works fine.
You can get free software that does let you select a part of the scream and save. But I have never needed to use any.
Good luck.
