So I would have to go to the Start and click it, or click on the desktop icon?

I'm guessing its somewhere in the AIM settings? Specifics please!

You need to turn off the auto-start option on Aim in Settings.

Edit > settings > Sign In/Sign Out > Uncheck start aim when windows starts. GL

OK here are your directions. PLAIN and SIMPLE.

    1. Open AIM.

    2. When loaded, click EDIT and scroll down to settings (You can also press F7).

    3. When settings opens click SIGN IN / SIGN OUT.

    4. On the page you will see a box to check. Uncheck the option that says: START AIM WHEN WINDOWS STARTS.

    5. Click SAVE.

Try restarting your computer to see if the AIM loads.

    Good Luck!
