Laptop help?

What laptop do you recommend? I am purchasing one in Australia but need recommendations on brands. It will be mostly used for email and photos, internet etc.

I would like at least 2GB Ram and at least 160GB HDD but essentially would like 250GB HDD.

I am hoping to spend $1500 - $2000 (plus warranty, word, excel costs)

HP? Toshiba? Dell?

here is the run down: The best is Toshiba

    Then Hp

asus and acer are alright. asus is better though.

and i would try avoiding dell at all costs.

try buying from ibuypower.com and get the cz-7 ultra.

for a little less than $1800 you can get 4gb ram, 250gb hdd, 8600 gt nvidia gpu, intel t7800 cpu, windows ultimate, built in 2.0 megapixel cam. its just good if you take my advice.

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...

this is the best system you can get, I an not saying that I am a admin for over 1000 users we use these. this is hp's business class. note the spec. now the warranty from newegg says 1 year, but get from cdw or hp itself and they come with a three year warranty. They have a great build quality and they are made to be used everyday. nothing like hp's standard class. have fun buying.
