i would feed the world. make sure everyone had enough food and the basic human right to live healthily.

I'm helping to do that NOW! Because the world NEEDS changing! You only need to look at the direction the world is headed to know that something has to be done and soon! One person at a time and one day at a time!

I would put myself in charge of the Earth. I would sort out the stupidity that causes most human problems and allocate resources to those in need. I would eliminate waste and corruption because I would have the power to do so and use the extra money for science and exploration.

this is a ridiculous question
its like asking "if you knew there was one thing you can do to save your mother, what would you do and why ?" you havent even given us a scenario , i mean how can one answer this sort of question ?

Eliminate all religions. I'd do it because most wars are centered around religious differences.
